Ingredients:

- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

- 1/4 teaspoon salt

- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed

- 2 tablespoons molasses

- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.

2. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add molasses and vanilla extract, mixing well.

3. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

4. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

5. Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to about 1/8-inch thickness. Use mini gingerbread house templates or cut out small rectangles and triangles for the house pieces.

6. Place the cut-out pieces on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.

7. Allow the cookies to cool completely before assembling.

Assembly:

1. Use royal icing (a mix of powdered sugar and egg whites) as glue to attach the house pieces together. Let it set for a few minutes.

2. Decorate your mini gingerbread house with additional royal icing, candies, or sprinkles.

3. Allow the icing to fully set before handling or displaying your adorable mini gingerbread house.

Enjoy your festive and delicious creation!
