Hankerie's Hawaiian Pizza - Made in OZ

In year 2011, I was focus too much on cakes. In the beginning of this year, I've taken on the new challenge to bake Pizza - first time in my life. That's my husband favorite too especially Hawaiian Pizza, he can eat almost 2 big 10-inch (25.5cm) pizza in one go. Gosh!

In Australia, not only all kind of cheeses can be found here easily but also the price is way cheaper than Malaysia. Approximately 600g of mozarella cheese only costs around AUD5 with additional 20% discount sometimes. Such a good deal. In fact, pizza is quite easy to make.

Below is my recipe and method to share with all my fans here, you also can do it yourself at home. I am sure that your family will definitely impress and ask for more variety next time. You may put whatever favourite toppings, all depends on your choice. Undeniably, it will be much nicer than buying from outside.

Ingredients:

Pizza dough:

  1. 254g pizza flour (a special brand that gotten in Australia)
  2. 1/2 tsp table salt
  3. 3 tsp sugar
  4. 170g water
  5. 1 tsp instant dried yeast
  6. 1 1/2 TBSP extra virgin olive oil
  7. 1/2 tsp table salt
  8. 1/2 TBSP fresh milk
Toppings:
  1. 1/4 pineapple, peeled, cut into 2cm pieces (I am using pineapple in cans here)
  2. 100g light shaved ham/ chicken brest
  3. 1 onion
  4. 4TBSP paste tomoto sauce
  5. Few cherries tomota
  6. 1/2 cup of shredded Cheddar cheese
  7. 1/2 cup of  shredded mozarella cheese
  8. Some Italian herbs
Method
  1. Sieve pizza flour, sugar & salt twice, make it a well shape.
  2. Pour in the yeast & water into well.
  3. Slowly mix it.
  4. Add on the olive oil and milk, mix it until smooth.
  5. Cover the dough with damp cloth. Let it proof for at least an hour.
  6. After an hour, test the dough with finger. Sprinkle some flour on the counter, roll & make the dough into half and make to the round shape (with 0.5cm - 1cm thick) to fit into 10-inch round baking tray. You can make it into 1 big square pan.
  7. Let it rest for another 15 minutes.
  8. Spread the pasta tomato sauce. Sprinkle the ham, onion, cherries tomoto, pineapple, cheddar cheese, mozarella cheese & italian herbs.
  9. Bake at 200C for around 15 minutes (depends on your oven, I am using full-forced fan oven)

If you do not wan to serve immediately, you may put the pizza into freezer. Enjoy!
