Homemade Kiwifruit Lollipop for Xmas Party

3 simple ingredients can make into delicious Homemade Kiwifruit Lollipop. It is always headache to think of party food that you can prepare way upfront. With the simplest ingredients on hand, I've invented this recipe - Homemade Kiwifruit Lollipop. This recipe is not only easy to make but also fun to make, you may try to do together with your kids during this festive.

My Homemade Kiwifruit Lollipop is free of any preservative or colouring, safe for the kids on consumption. If you afraid the sugar level is too high, you may reduce the sugar recipe to 10% lesser. Be careful when you heat the sugar, prepare the glove while taking the sauce pan.

Of course, if you do not have any lollipop mold at home, you may made them into round lollipop onto baking paper. Or any shape that you would like to be, just think creatively! Have fun making and enjoy!

See below for Hankerie's recipe

Ingredients
1 Zespri® Green Kiwifruit (blended)
190g caster sugar
90ml water

Method

  1. Prepare 6 lollipop sticks onto the lollipop mold. If you do not have any mold, you can use the baking paper.
  2. Prepare a non-stick sauce pan and a bowl of cold water.
  3. Add caster sugar, fresh kiwifruit puree and water into non-stick sauce pan and cook with medium heat. Stir mixture until the sugar is well dissolved.
  4. Bring mixture to the boil and do not stir at this point.
  5. Let it boil at least 8-10 minutes or until the mixture turn a little bit golden colour.
  6. Turn off the heat immediately and put the sauce pan in the cold water bowl to prevent the mixture from further cooking.
  7. Pour the mixture very quickly into the lollipop mold or make round shape onto the baking paper if you do not have the lollipop mold. If the mixture turns harder, you can reheat on the stove. Remember to turn and coat the lollipop stick into the candy.
  8. Let the candy cool down naturally at least 10 minutes before removing them from the mold.
This recipe is specially designed for Zespri South East Asia. You can find the recipe card in their website or any social media.
